When you fall down the stairs and hit your head, you are likely to suffer an injury, which might make you forget who you really are. In this woman’s case, she hit her head as a child and started believing she used to be a high priestess in Ancient Egypt in one of her past lives.
Dorothy Louise Eady was only a 3 year old kid when she fell down the stairs and injured her head. She started believing she wasn’t home, she wasn’t Dorothy and she wasn’t the child of a couple of Christians. As she grew older, she started claiming that Egypt was her actual home. She got expelled from school, she had to see priests and shrinks. As a teenager she was finally seen as a girl with potential for greatness and not just a crazy teen with a mental problem. She took classes in hieroglyphs and later started exploring archaeological sites and museums. She grew even more fascinated by her “home” (as she called Ancient Egypt) and the things she was discovering. She spent quite some time in Iraq, Cairo, Giza. Her studies of Ancient Egypt were widely praised by many historians and Egyptologists. In fact, Dorothy’s belief that she used to be a priestess in her previous life helped her find so much information about the ancient civilization that she ended up contributing more to present day Egyptology than anyone could have ever dreamed of!
Many written works, such as articles, biographies and documentaries, have been focused on Dorothy’s findings and her remarkable contributions to Egyptology!
